Early Life and Childhood (1926-1940)

Ernesto Guevara was born on the 14th of June in 1928. When Ernesto was very young they diagnosed him for having asthma, which was a severe problem through out his whole life, but not a limitation. Due to his severe asthma, young Ernesto was not able to begin school at the same age as the other kids, so for awhile his mother taught the primary lessons.
When he was younger his family often took Ernesto and his siblings on trips through out Argentina, possibly inspiring him to want to travel through out South America as he did as an adult. His family was also very influential in his political awareness. When he was only eight there was fighting between fascists and republicans in Spain, his family was very involved with this and spoke to him about it. Ernesto even played war with friends as if they were those in Spain.
